About Us
Our Story
Stouffer General Contractors, LLC was started in May of 2015 by Jason Stouffer. He began his career in construction in his teens working for his grandfather’s general contracting company and then as a stonemason in Eastern Pennsylvania. He continued to work on commercial and residential construction projects while pursuing his undergrad work at the University of Tennessee.
After graduation, he began working in Oak Ridge, TN as a research engineer processing various mixed waste and nuclear waste streams in a state-of-the-art facility using revolutionary Quantum Catalytic Extraction Processing technology. After spending 2-1/2 years in this industry, Mr. Stouffer was presented with a more prosperous opportunity to work for his neighbor’s land clearing and heavy civil construction company.
One of his first projects was responding to Hurricane Bonnie’s devastation at Topsail Beach, NC in 1998. The seed was planted. The excitement of the many challenges working in austere environments post a natural disaster is an uncurable addiction that stays in your blood. This addiction was fed for the next 10 years responding to 15 hurricanes as well as the World Trade Center Disaster Forensic Recovery Project.
